Lashings of Cricket & Street Food
Reigate Priory Cricket Club in Park Lane are playing host to the star studded cricket team that is The Lashings All Stars World XI this Friday (25th July).
Heavyweights of the cricket world such as Phil Defreitas, John Emburey, Devon Malcolm & Saqlain Mushtag to name but a few will be taking on Reigate Priory 1st XI a.k.a. The Llamas.
Previous years have seen crowds full of families enjoying the cricket & party atmosphere in their thousands.
With sunshine & cricket sorted, what better a partner to such a great day than Street Food. Reigate Street Eats will be there to quench thirst and stave off hunger with the prettiest traders around, Donostia Social Club with their Basque hot & cold tapas, pintxos & sangria, Hog and Bone with ‘Sally’ their 12ft smoker serving up smoked ribs, pulled pork & brisket, The Tinderbox and their amazing pizzas Margherita, Chorizo and roasted pepper, Salted fennel and chargrilled courgette with chilli, basil and smoked garlic oils.
If that’s not enough quaint Vintage Dotty will be serving delicious cakes, coffees, teas & what everyone needs on a hot day, ice cream plus the most beautiful horsebox you will ever clap eyes on, Vintage Bar Box, keeping you cool with Pimm’s Summer Cup, Pimm’s Royale – Pimm’s and Prosecco, Spicy Pimm’s – Pimms and Ginger Ale, Sparkling cider – from Stopham Winery, Prosecco, Corona & Arundel Sussex Ale.
It’s definitely not a day out in the sunshine in Reigate to miss and you never know you may even spot some ‘real’ llamas there too!
Gates open at 1.00pm, match starts at 3.00pm. Advance tickets are available for £3 at Reigate Priory Cricket Club, £5 on the gate. Children on the day £3 and under two’s go free.
